Sometimes following God can seem like such a hard task, especially if you are determined to fulfill the purpose He has for your life. We pass through seasons of silence, darkness, and question. We often spend more time in the Valley, than we do on the Mountaintop. Each experience is meant to take us deeper in Him, expand our heart and mind to receive more of Him, and give us a desire to climb higher in Him.
Every season of our life is meant to increase our faith in God and the level of God’s presence operating through our life, til we come to full stature in Christ. As we grow we remain more and more steadfast. Seasons of silence no longer matter, neither does darkness or questions. While we enjoy the moments of mountaintop miracles and mighty moves of God, we learn that valley experiences are where we grow in knowledge, understanding and wisdom. All prepare us for the next experience waiting just beyond the horizon.
In seasons of question we often don’t understand why God seems silent or things seem dark. It’s okay, we’ve all been there. It’s uncomfortable, but as you purpose your heart to stay steady and press on you will receive the strength you need to continue. How do you stay steady?
- Be faithful with what is in your hand
- Find contentment where you are
- Be grateful
- Praise God
- Know God’s timing is perfect
- Be joyful in waiting
Press on! No matter what don’t give up. It’s in the silent dark that God knits together miracles. His plans for you are great. Believe it and always expect His plans to come to pass. I love what Psalm 27:14 says;
“Wait for the LORD; Be strong and let your heart take courage; Yes, wait for the LORD.”
In this Psalm of David, he talks about his adversaries and enemies, his family who forsook him, leaving him in despair. I love what he says in verse 13, “I would have lost heart unless I believed I would see the goodness of God in the land of the living.” He had full faith in God that he would be delivered and helped.
Be encouraged today. You have a Helper, a Teacher, a Leader and no matter what your season looks like today; light, life and miracles are just beyond the horizon. Set your hand to the plow, don’t look to the right or the left, keep moving forward, as you press on into His plan for your life.
Suddenly a door will open, a person will come with provision, answers will be released. Rejoice! There’s no way possible you will miss it or Him. God is with you and He will never forsake you.
You are His beloved.
